We want your visit with us to be as easy and convenient as possible for you. We’re always up-front with you about the costs involved with each visit, so there are never any surprises. Some common coverage options are:

Insurance

We are partners will all the major health funds, including Medibank, PeopleCare, Teachers Health, Transport Health, GMF, HIF, nib, HBF, Latrobe Health, Frank Health Insurance, GMHBA, and all other health funds that participate in HICAPS, enabling you to claim your rebate on the spot to save you time and hassle.

We are preferred providers with HCF, Medibank Private (Members Choice), PeopleCare, Defence Health and Australian Unity which means lower prices and higher percentage rebates for you.

Denti-Care Payment Plans

We have simple payment plan options for treatment plans over $800 in value. With a deposit of 20%, the balance of the plan can be placed on a direct debit arrangement and paid weekly, fortnightly or monthly over a period of up to 24 months (2 years). There are a few forms to fill in, but these simple, easy to understand plans have no interest and no credit check, and only have a $39 establishment fee (and 88c per deposit bank fee).  There is no credit check, and no interest if you pay on time.

Membership Organisations

Smile.com.au is Australia’s leading membership organisation for dental care – and members benefit from savings of 15 – 30% off the regular dental fees at participating dentists. And yes, we are a participating dentist – meaning that many of our patients are saving $400 of a root canal, $300 off a crown, and many other such savings.

We are also partners with Dentacare, as well as GetDental who have similar plans.

Children’s Dental Benefit Scheme (CDBS) – Medicare Kids Dental Scheme

If your child is 2-18 years old, in January each year you should receive a letter from Medicare letting you know your child is eligible for dental treatment totaling up to $1000 over 2 years. There are criteria set by Medicare, and administered by Centrelink, which tie in to family income, family tax benefit qualification, and having lodged your previous years tax return to name just a few.  We can assist with calling to check your childs availability for the benefits, and how much is remaining on their plan – even if you have been to another dentist before its part of our service to assist with this for you.

We do bulk bill these visits to Medicare for you (up to the plan limit) which should save you from having to pay and claim back. Please note that there is a required 24 hours’ cancellation notice, and this will otherwise result in a charge of $50 per appointment, which Medicare will not cover.

We have five Dental Therapists on staff to look after your children’s dental health and participate with this program.

Medicare EPC – Dental Care Plans

Now that the Federal Government has ceased the Medicare EPC/CDDS program in November 2012, we cannot accept any Medicare patients (for bulk billing). Patients who have previously been treated with us are welcome to continue their treatment with us, and our reception team can help you with ways we can assist with having your dentistry needs meet your budget.

This may be through our $175 check up and clean package deals, membership of Smile.com.au, or through insurance such as with Medibank Private or similar.

VGDS / VEDS Dental Vouchers

For existing patients who have been issued a VEDS or VGDS voucher by a community health clinic, we will accept these vouchers. Some vouchers have a co-payment from the patient, others do not.

New patients with these vouchers will be directed to our sister clinic Smart Choice Dental who are accepting new patients with these vouchers: www.SmartChoiceDental.com.au

VDS – Victorian Dental Scheme

Unfortunately we do not participate in bulk billing this program. We can provide referral to a Dental Prosthetist who does accept the vouchers.

Other Payment Options

If you don’t have coverage through the above-listed options, we also accept:

  • EFTPOS, Visa, MasterCard, Amex (with no credit card surcharges)
  • Smile.com.au Membership
